Maakie (1 dag siden) #22478627It was very nice to see this blog! I like how the base turned out and I love especially how the shading on her shirt looks. :) Do you plan on painting more figures in this style?

Thanks, it turned out to be a pretty good idea :) I definitely like this style and will probably use it again, but I think it really depends on the kit and how much detail I think the kit needs to be considered done.

Daichukiyo (4 dager siden) #22337392Me too, haha! Multicoloured hair is pretty and eye pleasing! I think you actually did a wonderful job with the shading, the colors work so well together! ^^ Also thanks, in the future when i complete my first garage kit, I'll be sure to make a blog post too! :)

Thanks again :) I plan to do multicolored hair on more kits in the future so be sure to check back every so often. If you remember when you finish that blog be sure to send me a link, I'd like to see it.

Redliger (4 dager siden) #22335177Thanks! I really like multicolored hair so this kit was awesome to use it on :) I wish more pvc figures had multicolor hair. Its a shame cause I bet those giant companies could pull it off much better then I am.
I'd love to see the kit you make in the future!

vvolt (4 dager siden) #22333327WOW I love this! Especially the way the back of her and her shoe/boots have the black for the folds in the clothing, so cool aesthetically!! Good job!

Thanks :) This kit was great to try this different method of shading. Her shoes were hard to imagine how the shading would go and how the lighting would affect them. So they took a bit of planning xD. So I'm really glad you like them. Because I glossed the grey areas on her cloths and shoes, she really looks cool when the light reflects off the glossy areas. It was hard to get a photo that really showed the gloss though so I'm not sure how clear it looks. xD

orochimaruxsaber (4 dager siden) #22333695I love it so much!!! Seriously one of my favorite paint jobs on a kit I've ever seen :) thanks for sharing the details & I'm hoping to see more interesting paint jobs from you in the future!

Thanks xD your making me embarrassed lol. I'm glad you really like her! Thats the plan to keep painting and getting better at this wonderful hobby :)

I'm planning on buying some better paints and pastels in the near future, so hopefully that will help contribute to better results and more efficient painting / shading. :)

Great job!

Thanks! I agree, the colors came out really well. I'm glad my blue paints come out pretty well. Some of the colors don't cover very well xD. I like like Miku's color scheme in general so I really wanted to keep it similar :)

Kirenisa (4 dager siden) #22332234looks great!XRaptor7 (4 dager siden) #22332544Looks cool! I like how instead of having gradient shading like you normally see baked onto figures, you've gone for a more cell-shaded(?) effect

Thanks, I really enjoyed trying a different style. It was nice since her outfit already had tons of folds that helped me figure out where to shade.
