AmiAmi USAL is for package under 8000yen value, so you can't use it for most figure these days. www.amiami.com/...
HLJ USAL and RSAL is for package under 15000yen value, they do not consider RSAL a trackable method so it's also limited to 15000yen in value (I got burned with this, because I kind of assumed it was for USAL only, lol). support.hlj.com...-
NY, while they do offer it, as far as pre-order are concerned, from my personnal experience, I think it's unlikely to end up with USAL, you'll get upgraded to RSAL. It probably got something to do with their 15-30% average overcharge on shipping (for USAL anyway, can't say for other method since I don't use them).

Mine never ended up upgraded to Rsal.. so maybe it depends on country. Certain countries not allowed unregistered or opposite.. registered. Not sure which and details tho.. since it doesnt involve me ^^"

And yeah i didnt include the boundaries, good you added that :)

Living in a Country with many mail limitations and bad service, using SAL or Registered international shipping is like throwing away your money, that's why I always use EMS

Chloe-tsundere (1 år siden) #19341107As far as i know manda always used registered or at least for a veeeery long time. Prob cause unregistered can get icky situations for both sides if it gets lost..
Hlj and amiami still offer unregistered :) plus BiJ if below 5000 yen plus NY (tho i dont shop with Ny anymore, horrible service)
i usually pick that especially for small stuff like keychains or card sleeves so it is worth buying..
And i dont mind signing and if im not at home postoffice is 2 km away so i can just cycle to it :)
While i am anxious for opening doors, if i see the mailman truck.. i open and i got a very nice mailman :)

Veroxion (1 år siden) #19325795That's because they don't. I've literally seen some couriers just leave a 'card to call' instead of knocking lol.

I've been noticing this too and feel the same way... I'm suuuuuper lucky to have a ridiculously lovely parcel delivery guy?? I moved recently and a few forgotten orders slip through to my old address but he brings them to my new address anyway #blessed... so I don't feel too anxious about annoying him. I live in a really quiet suburb so it's not like my stuff's gonna get stolen? No one is home to sign off for shit and having to go all the way to the post office to pick it up again is frustrating as hell... especially when I go all the way there and it's not even been dropped back yet!! If I want something SAL delivered I want it to be easy... I want to come home to my goods not a parcel pick-up slip for 3 keychains...

I think I've noticed the required registered shipping more often too. But I've been shopping more on Manda when I shouldn't, lol. I think it is because they don't want complaints from unregistered mail getting lost, but there might be another reason.

Maybe I just have a cool mail system, but every time I had 'signature required' packages I always left a note on the door with my signature + the date + I mention the carrier or even something like "Hey EMS" has worked, lol. I'll do that when I know I'm going to be home too because they don't always knock here. I've never had problems, but I have it left at my door. There could be problems with an apartment and their mail system for example.

songtantan (1 år siden) #19326656Not sure,
but when I order, I always use registered mail so I can have ease of mind.
I always fear the package will be lost.
So an extra 3-5bucks for the clam of my heart is worth it.
But I do want to try non-registered on a small order and see how that goes.

For me, if I'm going to have the aggravation of signing for a package anyway, I'm going to use EMS since at least I'll get the figure in only a few days!
