Sparxxors (1 år siden) #27190905This might actually be a bad idea because Mexico (assuming since it shares a border with CA) may have import/duties for figures. I have no idea though because Spanish..so just warning you. The US is very friendly when it comes to figure merchandise duty limits.

Yeah they are a little bit strict when it comes to figures since they classified them as toys and you have to pay fees when you are importing more than 2 of the same, even if the figures are different they still say it's two toys, and they have a limit of 500 when importing by Air or Sea, but until now I haven't had any issue with them charging me fees when I bought back in January from Amiami like 5 figures since it wasn't more than 400 USD and they even opened the box to check the contents, so I guess the person has a good heart or it was someone who also collects figures.

In case of emergencie of customs my backup plan was to send half to another country since I live in the border basically, but good to know I won't have to.

Only over 2500$ you have to pay customs fee.
Damn are you guys lucky, cause we in Europe have to pay tax if it's over 1% of your limit.
take123 (1 år siden) #27183975I haven't been custom'ed in USA yet for figures and I ordered more than $700 before. I got customed around $70-100 on an item that was a mannequin that was over $3000 but that was not a figure.
AMiami will likely split the box up I assume? Can you use multiple boxes to break down the 700$.

Thanks for the info, probably my order will be more than a 1000 since I'm still waiting for 5 More figures (4 are mine)

I have never needed to split before snce most of the items are just tapestries, but if Amiami doesn't have a bigger box than their 200size the this might be my first time needing two boxes.

$2000 I believe, and the fee was under $100.

Since April, there's also a 2800yen fee from JP post should you ship anything with a declared value of over 200,000yen as well.
