Are these websites credible? Are these websites credible?

Hi Everyone,

I was thinking about buying a nice anime resin statue online, but I am not sure about either of the sites that have these higher end resin statues, and would like to ask the community if they have purchased anything from either of these websites. The websites are ShingekiShop.com, and GamesAnimationCollectibles.com. Both appear to be based out of Singapore (not sure if that is the norm for these resin type statues or not).

I also didn't find anything when I searched these on MFC, so I don't believe there is any other article on here for these, but please let me know if there is.

Any feedback regarding either of these websites would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you all for your help.

NemsEngelAceSasu (8 måneder siden) #32596006I am new to those unoffical ones aswell. However they increase in price rather awful after release, so it's not like they will drop in price and are worth nothing. I think the quality depends to the manufacturer. Here are some pics of the 2 i have received so far BLOG #39664 , the gap between the quality is a lot. The GAC Shop has 2 FB groups, one for selling and buying and one about new infos. I haven't heard bad things from them, but shipping is killer from SG. So i orderd my 3 One Piece ones at other stores. And my 2 BNHA ones from the manufacturer.

Thank you for the information regarding GAC and the different qualities from different manufactures. You can definitely see the difference in quality from the pictures of the ones from your post. I am a little hesitant on that part since I don't know anything about these manufactures, and don't want to spend a lot of money for something that's not so good of quality.

Karumi (8 måneder siden) #32614693I would say they're still worth investing in because they are still a limited release, even if they are not official. Since there are no alternatives, the price will go up if it's something people want regardless of authenticity. It's just a matter of who has reservations about unofficial items and who doesn't.

That makes sense that even if they are not official, they could still be worth investing in since they are limited release and there might not be any alternatives. I am still a little weary on these, but I appreciate the knowledge and advice.

Santoryu_Susanoo (8 måneder siden) #32590525Thank you for the information. I guess that leads me to another question. Since they are not official, does that mean that it really isn't worth investing in these from a collectors stand point?
I am still new to collecting anime figures, and am still learning about this new hobby and all the intricacies revolving around collecting and displaying them or keeping them in the box as more of an investment. I would like to think that most of the figures I buy can be held onto and possibly increase in value (if left in box, and not displayed like I might with some of my other figures, haven't decided yet if I will display most of my figures or not).
Thank you.

Those King Finger Pokemon are gorgeous. Most of the ones I want are sold out, but I might pick some up later, since Nintendo is apparently never going to offer a nice Pokemon resin or PVC line of my favorites.

enjoime_CB (8 måneder siden) #32572057Haven't heard of the first one but i've heard of the second one. Saw some clips on you tube of a guy who does unboxing videos of garage kits/scales from different series from that website and i gotta say some of them look incredible! :) I can't really say for their reputation since i don't have enough space for those kinds of figures as of now but he owns a fairly decent of amount from that 2nd website. Probably thinking shipping would just be ridiculous by the way! ;___;

Yeah I have watched a few videos on youtube as well on people unboxing these types of anime statues. I thought they looked really awesome, and was contemplating getting one. But I am not sure about the investment (since they are pricey and I guess they are not actually an official figure), nor was I sure about the websites themselves.

Karumi (8 måneder siden) #32571854Most of the items on both websites are not official, yet I wouldn't call them bootlegs either as they are not replicating an official figure. As far as the websites' services, I'm not sure that I would trust a shop selling such items.
In any case, I found an example of the quality of one of the kits they sell. Hopefully this can help you gauge if it's worth it or not. www.youtube.com...
Edit: Forgot to mention that HMB specifically tends to try and steal designs from Tsume ENTRY #25386 (sometimes successfully), and intentionally tries to trick buyers into thinking it's Tsume by using the same base design and such. @__@

Those anime resin statues are unoffical and that's why they're not in the database.

I ordered from Shingeki shop before. They are legit and I got my item undamaged.

But they are pretty messy aswell. Charged me the shipping costs twice, cancelled some preorders, not responding to mails etc. Only order from them if the item is in stock.

Never ordered from G.A.C before but I only heard good stuff about them!
