Kommentarer Azur Lane - Prinz Eugen - 1/7 - Hyakka Ryouran ver. (Kotobukiya)

  • broken-Toybox2 måneder siden#78472694Maybe that’s indeed the case, well, actually I hope it does for once unlike all the other manufacturers launching some sort of exclusive/premium line and not delivering on those promises.
Atem looks really great, they really nailed the gold parts! :3
I’m the same despite having played both games, at least AL kept me longer and I prefer the designs over Kancolle. Well, and that’s basically everything I need since the look/quality of a figure are incredibly important to me.
Yeah, I know they don’t exactly care about that (which is quite strange given their own role) but dwelling on that won’t really lead anywhere I suppose. Wow, you really dodged a bullet there, huh?
That’s probably it and there’s also something inherently sexy about them being flushed and kinda more relaxed than usual.^^

I assume you are referencing to WHS, which I am extremely salty about, especially when it comes to ITEM #236240 ... Speaking about premium figures, where is more information about ITEM #806156 ?! Man, I basically forgot about that one, talking in my previous comment about how the Fine Clover was the best we're going to get. o.o

Yeah I have been unboxing my smaller YGO trading figures last weekend and the gold looks so ~fine~ on even the little ones. <3

I think AL being the 'second' one also makes it harder for me to like it. Now I see the same ships and references, which already took me a while to warm up to with KC.

About the AL I mighttttt be interested in:
ITEM #740218 Those ship parts are amazing!
    ITEM #914680 t u m m y
    ITEM #806378 Only when more t u m m y
    ITEM #806208 Adorable!
ITEM #924742 I love this artist, but not sure how this design will be in figure form.
ITEM #946048 I am actually not even a fan of this one, but a friend of mine is of the GK ITEM #803348 , so I'm curious to how it will be in prepainted form.

Oh man that is actually a pretty big list... *sweats*

Yes I especially find that strange considering their role in WWII, but I guess we have more shame about it in Europe as it started here?

Oh for sure, if customs had opened it, they would have either got it confiscated or ask me questions about it. To some extent swastika's are allowed to be in your possession for 'historical reference', but there is not an excuse like that if you buy a figure that was produced 15-20 years ago. ^^''

Maakie5 måneder siden#75771464OH WOW that one is even more gorgeous! I wonder if the higher price tag makes them include more details or Koto is improving overall. I still absolutely love all the details on my Atem. I still need to fix the image hosting on the blog, but you can see some pictures here if you like: users.v4.php?cu...
For me it's that so far I can't really warm up to AL yet, although I really like some of the designs. Kan Colle also took me a while, so who knows what the future will bring. xD
Ah, don't feel bad! Tbh I have been shocked with some of my own figures as well. I got an older Mecha Musume figure based on a German plane and it has swastika's all over the box...Japan takes those symbols more lightly than most other countries... ^^'' When I got that figure I was like 'Yikes! Glad customs didn't open it.' But anyway considering this figure is 'censored' maybe Chinese censor this symbol more than Japanese.
I think for me because it looks like they are having a good time? I'll get to your Shuten Douji review soon to see what cuts they made, uh-oh! D: In general I really love her design, so I might see one of her figures getting into my collection in the future.

broken-Toybox5 måneder siden#75728391They’re not bad ofc, but usually they’re not great either. They’re a mid-tier manufacturer most of the time and with their pricing that’s absolutely fine imo. That’s why I understand your surprise here (but look at what they did with ITEM #740175 if you want and even bigger one). :3
I like the other Prinz Eugen too, but kinda feel out of love with Kancolle as a whole some time ago, while I still have some lingering attachments to AL or the designs at least. The censoring is kinda funny tbh, you can censor all you want ofc but I won’t change the fact that it’s that kind of ship after all (I even felt a bit weird reviewing the figure because of it…. Way to overthink things… as always).
I dunno why I find drinking figures so alluring, but I definitely can’t deny it. Maybe I just like the lasciviousness of it?^^ Shuten Douji turned out quite nicely all things considered, but I’m still dismayed about the cuts they made to the props…

Maakie6 måneder siden#75626658This is a really really nice piece by Kotobukiya! Not that Kotobukiya is bad, but I actually would not have expected this to be their figure. ^^' I understand you are not 100% satisfied especially with the release price, but I really think this is a good piece by Koto's standards.
I do have more of a soft spot for the 'other' Prinz Eugen ENTRY #81063 . I do think it's funny with this figure (or her whole design? not known with Azur Lane) how the Iron Crosses are 'censored' on the boat parts, but they did give her an Iron Cross necklace, hrmmm.
About the more drinking characters, ITEM #464632 (which you already have (ordered)) hits most of my moe points. <3 Maybe I'll get her too someday. <3

LadyLavellan1 år siden#64303474Not a fan of the not-so-delicate hands/messy nail polish as well as the messy sculpt at the back of her hair but otherwise her kimono is goooorgeous. Love the care they put into that at least. I also really enjoy the paint they used in those mechanic parts. I'm a sucker for metallic paints. She's not quite as pretty as the official pics but she's a looker nontheless. A worthy addition to the collection!
Very detailed review as always! Thanks for the in-depth look and all the pics!
    Thank you! :3
You're definitely right, the Kimono is gorgeous. Would've been even better if they had included the red parts from the original illustration, but she'd be more of a space hog then. I love metallic paint too, if it's done well, which isn't exactly the case here with all those scratches.
Still, I wouldn't say she's unbearably bad (far from it), she's still quite charming and will (hopefully) look even better with some of my upcoming figures. :3

Oof, I didn't realize that there was an exclusive faceplate :/ The quality is a bit questionable in some areas, but I'm still excited to see the product in hands. I love Prinz so hopefully it'll allow me to look past some flaws
    Thank you! :3
I love her too (first ship I married) and this skin for that matter and she'll be a great fit with some Kimono figures I'm waiting for, but the QC at her price point is kinda sad.
