Can someone explain the difference between event and classification entry tags?
The confusion stems from this entry: ENTRY #148372.
Thanks in advance.

thanks, kaneel!
Kaneel (26 dager siden) #30932972okay, let me give an opinion on the matter.
I know that a while back some purging of individual clearfile entries was made in favor of having them as a set, i have to see if i find the alert which trigged that.
But there was actually no word made in the alert that it should be done like this at all.
Now for kuji's and other set.
My personal thumb of rule.
If high quality pictures are provided, which let me easily create nice main pictures and the motiv is clearly visible, i split.
However, if i only find super low resolution pictures, motive hidden because it's overlapping with other stuff or other such reasons i'll leave as one entry.
Personal example ITEM #162423
Old entry, super low resolution of main picture and hard to find good official ones.
Would it be nice to just mark that i only own one clearfile of the set?
Yeah, but the only way to do it would be scanning or taking a good quality picture of it and adding an entry with said picture.
For recent Kuji's or prize items you have sites like hobby dengeki, KK1, Hobby Maniax to often provide high quality pictures of them, even down to individual straps in which case it makes sense to split them.
I think there's a similar issue with good sets sold at events like Comiket.
We never got to a point to say, split or one entry.

I spoke with a MOD a while back and per the conversation Kuji badge set and clear files should be one entry.
It's actually somewhere here in the forum. XD that's why I'm not sure about splitting the charms.

I was waiting for a mod to comment but they seem to be busy or just done with v4.

I'd like to point out this ITEM #509250. These can be won as a set of five (see: bpnavi.jp/s/kuj...). However, they are individually added to the database and simply linked as "Bundled With." Now I know that not every entry is properly linked (i.e. Karasuno Set B from the same kuji) but it still supports my point. Kuji rubber strap sets are added to the database with separate entries and linked as "Bundled With."

moonlight119 (28 dager siden) #30905756I think the same applies to the rubber straps. It’s better to separate them. Rubber strap set are registered separately (like ENTRY #64524 ENTRY #111704 ENTRY #111706)so I don’t see the reason for not doing the same.

Thanks, I'll work on splitting the sets then.
The rubber charms should be kept together in one entry as a set like the badges? Making sure since badges & clear file sets are supposed to be listed as one entry and marked as set.
Thanks again.

moonlight119 (28 dager siden) #30905729I was once told that as long as it’s possible to display them separately, they should be in separate entries. Reference: alert/40343
I also believe they should be separated. Though it can be won as a set, it can also be bought individually in the aftermarket. Simply link items together as “bubdled with.”

Thanks, I'll work on splitting the sets then.

Hiya!
I know that we don't split Kuji set when they are (for example) Badge (sets) and clear file (sets), but what if Kuji items are a set of different items such as the set having rubber charms, badges, and a pouch. Do we keep everything in one entry, or do we actually split this as an exception to the rule?
If it's kept together what category what it be under since it's different items?
Also need to verify if this is one entry or split since it's also a set:
ITEM #667526
Thank you in advance.

Sekhmet Killing Stalking
BloodFlower (1 måned siden) #30900972Yes, all game editions need JAN codes (catalogue-IDs have been accepted sometimes as well). If the collector's edition is exclusive to a store then you either have to wait for it to arrive to you to check the JAN or check the store page if there's a catalogue-ID of some sorts. If it's on sale on multiple stores then there's usually a store or two that puts that information up when it becomes available. Hope that information helped you out.
Thanks! They don't have it up on their site yet so I guess I will have to wait until I have it on hand. The proxy store I bought it from (play-asia) usually always lists the JAN code but they don't have it listed either so I guess as of now one hasn't been assigned to it. I'll just have to wait then.
