Hmm... Did the hair change from purple to blue..?
Is it suppose to be blue or purple tho? The nendoroid seems blue but is purple...

Will this pair well with Ozymandias tho? Nitocris is usually in 2nd ascension next to Ozy... Not to mention 1/7 next to 1/8 too...

So is Otakumode not getting this one? They got the Kill la Kill onsen figures so I thought they'd get this too.

Edit - They put it up.

Look, you're complaining about the price but buying the figure anyway because you can't resist and think it will appreciate. Psychologically that's what they're depending on. These companies are getting more capitalist minded, and that includes figuring out their consumers mental states in order to know how to best exploit them. With some amount of periodicity, that means "limited" releases that are only limited for the sake of being limited. By buying, you're voting with your wallet and telling them that it worked on you.

If you really think a practice is scummy, then you have to suck it up and let your waifu go. Will you make a difference? Who knows; there are a lot of other "can't help it" people to take your place. It might not even be better than nothing. But that's the state of things. It's always a gamble. I'm just telling you that the other side's odds aren't necessarily that bad, and that your current actions aren't helping you or anyone else in the long run. That's it.

beatriceforlife (20 dager siden) #55644758It's not just "my point of view". It is anecdotal yes, but it's empirically supported. I literally browse the AmiAmi preowned section every single day, sometimes going through all of the pages when I'm extraordinarily bored. While I'm mainly looking for new stuff, I'm also looking to see the prices of the stuff I already owned, and I keep a mental record of what I bought it for. And from my experience, a lot of the figurines I preordered ended up depreciating in price, especially secondhand. Even if slightly. It's going to be hard to link you to any specific examples because the inventory changes constantly so anything I see one moment will probably disappear quickly... but yeah, this isn't just my opinion. I've seen this firsthand.
Perhaps the ones you specifically are interested in, are some of the rare ones that get a very limited run and don't end up on the secondhand market in high quantities. Those do exist.

Maybe you are including standard run releases, because it's more likely to raise the price when it comes to a limited+exclusive release, but it depends on a lot of things such the company, number of figures that character gets, final quality, and so on.

I'm also checking from time to time the price of the figures I own since I hate to buy something that will drop its price in the aftermarket, sometimes I make a good choice pre ordering, and sometimes not, but there's times when I prefer not to risk that possibility for one or another reason and end up biting the bullet like this. Is that bad that to complain about the price considering this?
I'm not trying to have an argument or anything
