    4ARND , you might need to update the shop description: Mandarake no longer asks for a 500 yen fee for orders under 5000 yen since the beginning iof this year.

    It's been a looooong time since I've used Mandarake (good two years or so). I've ordered an item and it has immediately changed to "Sold out". Does this mean I've definitely got it? I know I'll find out either way soon but I'm impatient :P

    Yes, as soon as you make an order it should change to showing that on the site so no one else can order it. However, someone could still have bought it from the physical store before you made the order which is why you still have to wait for the confirmation email.

    Except Sahra, which is a warehouse and not physical store. They probably didn't have that when you last ordered.

    funny thing. the item that ended up "sold out" was available after a few days. still same price, which was weird.
    why i asked if they had issue with paypal payments. my order went through after i changed to CC payment. lolz

    They didn't, no! My order is with Utsonomiya...Whom I think also wasn't open the last time I ordered.

    Hi, I've been unable to register for an account on Mandarake, I don't get any specific errors either, it just always brings me back to the registration page with my password cleared out.
    I've omitted numbers and special characters from my password and even lowered the number of characters and that hasn't worked. Nothing I try seems to work. does anyone have any Suggestions?

    Edit - The issue appears to be because I did not use '-' in my phone number when typing it out.

    In case someone wants to order books/printed items from Mandarake Sahra:

    Sahra calculates standard SAL shipping rates at the checkout (up to 2 kg) and can split your order in 2 or more boxes depending on the weight of your books. But they can change the shipping to SAL printed matter rate (up to 5 kg) from their side if you leave a comment that you need "SAL printed matter" shipping in the checkout form. Don't pay before they send you the new invoice!

    I just tried it, I knew the books I wanted were over 2 but under 5 kg but I asked them first if they use printed matter rates and they told me to make a note when placing the order. They changed the shipping cost from their side and sent me the new invoice with the payment link. The shipping cost changed from 4160y to 3480y for 4 books and they're all coming in 1 box now, not 2.

    You don't have to ask for this rate when buying from other Mandarake shops, they will apply it without requests, it's only for Sahra with its automated shipping calculation. Also, if they don't reply to you in 3 days I suggest sending them a mail about it because I already had a situation when they didn't read my note and I had to contact them to get orders combined (not books but it made me think they don't read all customers' notes in the orders :)) Maybe they will somehow update their system in the future so that it could recognize orders of printed items but for now you can have it arranged manually and save some money and boxes :)

    Just wondering, does Mandarake charge the shipping cost per item or as a bundle? Coz when I tried to check the shipping cost with two items, it stated something like 2400 yen per box. I have not ordered from the site before but would really love to one day because it has a lot of nendoroids I'm dying to own + the prices are heck worth it.

    Mandarake is such an unhealthy site for my wallet.

    it's for the whole order from a single store. If you're ordering from different stores they will be separated by store (different locations)

    What do you do if you're sent an item which is extremely different to the one you ordered?

    I ordered this strap order.mandarake... from Mandarake, along with a Celty one and a Shizuo one from what I believe to be the same set.

    Today I received a package containing the three straps.

    I mean, he's absolutely adorable and I do love the design (that smirk), but it's also completely a different design to the strap I believed I was buying and twice the size of the other two.

    Should I contact them about this?

    Got a response from Mandarake about being sent the wrong Izaya strap - they confirmed I was sent the wrong one, looked for the correct one but it's sold out (I'm guessing it was probably sent to the person who originally ordered this one), and they've offered me a 200 yen refund (price of the strap) and said I can keep the strap.

    Really happy with the outcome, especially as I wasn't really expecting a refund.

    Does Sahra not let you cancel an order if a particular item is not in stock that's part of your order....? I want to order something so I thought I'd throw in something extra with my order but I don't want the order if only the extra thing is in stock and my main reason for ordering isn't.

    The checkbox isn't there when I'm checking out and I am really confused.

    Edit: Googled and found out it's a warehouse. Does that mean that everything is in stock then so I don't have to worry about that issue?

    Sorry for double-posting but there was something I was just really curious about OTL Sorry if it's been asked before too.

    How...exactly am I supposed to be searching for things if I'm just looking for one character lol? I say this because like, I'd be searching for items of one character in Japanese, and I'll get XX amount of results popping up. Searching in English will also give me a different XX amount of results. Meanwhile there's still stuff that just does not pop up unless I actually go through tons of pages of just looking through the series title instead. That's just so...tedious to have to search through 3 days just to see all the items. OTL I'm guessing there's no workaround to this sort of thing due to how the site's translation is set up? Would it be better to browse through the JP site instead and then transition it to English if I want to buy?

    Also while I'm at it: I wouldn't think so but worth asking, is there any way to maybe filter out doujinshi? Because part of the reason that I have to go through pages and pages is that I'm going through tons of pages of sword porn when I just want to look at official merchandise :|
