welkinG (3 år siden) #3238622hi there

does anyone have experience with the ebay seller "zenasas" ?

was interested in buying this figure from him

    www.ebay.de/itm...

    until i saw this

    www.ebay.de/itm...

the second is twice as expensive as the first one an the packages seems different?

i'm pretty unsure now since i dont want to buy a bootleg :(

Not familiar with him and I myself have only bought a few figures off Ebay back when I first started collecting. I soon joined another site similar to this one and discovered the whole issue of bootlegs. As regarding your question though and the differences in packaging and price. Assuming, ASSUMING they are legit, it could be a standard vs. limited production figure. Notice that in one she is wearing pink (red?) stockings and underwear vs. black in the other. The gold seal like emblem might be saying something to the effect of "Limited Edition" or similar.

felc57 (3 år siden) #3241222Hello, I was wondering if this happened to be bootleg. For the link, scroll down a bit and you'll see some pictures.
    (ext link)

I know that the ebay seller is pretty reputable, plus they mention that it's japanese official, but I just want to be safe. It just looks a bit... off to me. Thanks for any help

Link does not work, as it is not a link.

    Seller: zenasas www.ebay.com/us...

    Item: www.ebay.com/it...

When I asked if item is genuine, not bootleg, he canceled trade. So he is selling fakes or he canceled order because of lower price than other.

I highly recommend avoid him. I will add negative feedback to this user in 7 days (eBay time).

    Real or counterfeit?

I'm not familiar with the figure itself but it looks pretty fake to me. The box is all wrong from the original s1.tsuki-board.... and the logo and all the other images/text look faded and pixelated.

I think it's already been made clear but the Asuka shown in the box in the posts prior asking if it was
fake or real I can confirm this is a fake combo.

Asuka was originally produced in black gothic lolita version ITEM #302
which in itself became subject to bootlegging.

This figure of Asuka ITEM #2582 was done in the newer style gothic
packaging but is also a known fake.

What this one appears to be is a combination of the old style box and the Crimson version figure
placed inside that box however it is definitely all round fake.

I can provide more detailed article on these two if required as it took me a long time to finally
get a legit version of the black one.

Hey guys, was wondering if you guys think this is a bootleg?

    www.ebay.com/it...

The price seems too good to be real but it make such a perfect gift for the bf.
The location is alarming (and the stock) but the other things they sell are mostly nude-y mags so I'm not sure.

Is it too good to be true? Or have the heavens blessed me?

I have been pretty good at avoiding bootlegs, usually by buying from sellers in Japan and avoiding those in China or Hong Kong, and being careful to read all the desicriptions and consult with the MFC database. However, I have one here that is questionable. It is on Yahoo auctions, and looks right, but the price is too good. Does this appear to be legit or a counterfeit, or can you not tell? page.auctions.y...

One of the seller review states that the buyer received an "Oversea" version, so it is likely he's selling bootleg figures.

It's always difficult to tell from low-quality photos. But there are some questionable things if you look closely.
    - Most obvious is the bench is not wrapped. Don't know if seller removed it, but legitimate figure has bench wrapped in cloudy plastic wrap.
    - The angle on her shoe is not right. It should be tilted back such that more of the sole is visible.
    - Her fingertips on the hand holding the saucer may be off. Hard to see. She's supposed to have glossy, painted, pointy nails.

    Combine with price, probably bootleg.

Edit: Oh... and, the top of the box is missing a line of text lol. ("native")

I'm not sure if the price is good or not. It's certainly a hard to find item right now. But it seems that at least some time ago, it wasn't that expensive.

It's rarer for bootleggers to do more complex items that include real clothing and shoes. For example, recast dolls are most often sold without their original outfit sets.

Other than the location, nothing immediately suggests that it could be a bootleg. It even looks like there's a sticker on the box. I'm not terribly concerned about them having 6, so long as it's not infinite. Bootleggers will produce a lot more than 6.

Guys I was wondering a few things about the new figure I have purchased. It looks nice and feels "real" but I had some issues. her wings look not as crisp and clean compared to the user photos and the stick holding it up way in the back doesn't fit correctly even cutting it down it doesn't work. I don't understand why? Also mine came with a second stick to hold her other wing which I didn't see on the page?
