Kind of frustrated with FJ, especially when it comes to flea markets like Otamart. I've lost two purchases where it was possible to just buy it outright instead of waiting for a reply. Both items were out of print as well. I wished they would read the descriptions instead of copy and pasting the same old comments for everything.

I apologize if this has been answered before, but since I can't find the answer on FJ's homepage I wanted to go ahead and ask here:

Does anybody know if FJ would split one single order from one shop into 2 packages? And how much they'd charge extra for that?

    under consolidation service:

Items that arrive in the same package cannot be separated into different packages for international shipping.

Hi!! I have a very important question. I have to ship only one nendoroid from FromJapan and I don't know how much the Registered AirMail will cost. Any ideas? I live in Poland but maybe someone from other country shipped one nendoroid from this proxy and can tell me how much it cost (and e.g. compared it to taking AirMail registered from AmiAmi?)
For example shipping from amiami via registered airmail to my country costs 1500 JPY.
    Thanks a lot!

Hi! I bought only a nendoroid but I used another proxy and a different shipping method, but I do not think change, so I can tell you that the package has arrived to weigh 495 g, so based on that weight, if you intend shipping Registered Small Packet (Air) for europe you should pay 960 yen (+ 410yen) then 1370 yen, or roughly that price if it weighs a little more or less

Hi, I have shipped some nendoroid to my sweet home with them but it's hard to give you a proper estimate. Indeed, it depends on the item initial weight and on the person who is in charge of the packaging. But in most cases, the parcel got a weight around 600-700g so a 1550-1730 JPY cost including the registered airmail option.

Is something wrong with their site? ...I can't log in. When I click login the page will just refresh, and, uh. I really need to add shipping instructions or I'll end up w/ a fee. :/

It's happening with the "forgot password" page too. I can't get it to send me an email, the page just keeps resetting.

Lately they keep on sending me big cardboard box... And the things I ordered only fill at least half of it. Really hope they'd consider making a box half or 3rd the size. My package only contained 6 clear file + 3 strap/keychain whose boxes are flattened, why send it with cardboard box that can contain 3~4 nendoroid boxes? -__-

My issue with this is that not only it makes the shipping fee more expensive, but big box have much much higher chance of drawing my country's custom's attention... I don't know how it is in other countries, but in mine, you're charged a small fee if your package is opened by customs (whether you're charged with import tax etc or not). It's not that much, but if every package comes to me comes with that small fee, it's no longer small... Huffft they used to use big envelope with cardboard for something like CF and flat rubber/acrylic...

I ordered a two can badges from Otamart using the From Japan proxy a day and a half ago, and already paid for the Charge 1. The order at this moment is still in the "Order Pending" status.
I was curious to know, when the listing was posted. I went on Otamart again to look at the listing of the item I ordered. But, I noticed a note on the bottom right corner, near the picture that says 10 months ago.

Any who, I was wondering what this number means, is it the amount of time since the item was posted?
Or does it signify the last time the original poster logged into Otamart?

I think it was the time it was posted, because I saw a seller's profile and listing, take a look at two different items of his/her item, and saw different time, in an item 1 months ago, in another 9 days ago.

For Otamart's order, I like to observe their Japanese page directly (to change this, go to the bottom page, and there would be an option of (日本語 or English) where you can click on a button to see comment, but you have to be logged in. I even made an account there just to see the comment, so I could know/observe things such as:
    1) After I made a request, have the proxy commented on the item I want? After, have the seller replied? Anyway, to watch the transaction's progress X)
    2) How many days sellers took to reply on previous comments?
    3) In case their buying condition confusing, I could take a look at what kind of request accepted or not
    4) In case of popular item, has someone commented on it already? If someone has, then I won't bother the proxy.
etc etc. I don't understand Japanese, but Google Translate quite a big help.

Thank you for the reply, it was very helpful as it cleared up my prior confusion regarding the numbers under the posts.
I did want to look into the things you described, such as seeing if a seller is still active, how long they took to reply to comments, etc..
But, I wasn't certain if people in the US could make an account on Otamart, since people outside Japan have to use a proxy to buy from them.
How exactly would you go about making an account on Otamart.

I too am not in Japan, but I could make an account. I Assume you're using desktop? If so, here's the registration page: webapp.otamart....

If you're using Chrome, just right click and "translate to english" X)
If you wanna register with email, the field (on right) from top to bottom:
    - Nickname (username)
    - Email (I used gmail)
    - Password

From then on I forgot TBH, whether you're immediately logged in or have to click on confirmation email...

Btw, Otamart also has their own thread here: threads.v4.php?...

I am using Chrome on a mobile device at this point in time. But, I assume that the link you provided would work for a mobile device as well.

Also, I didn't know that their was an Otamart thread on Myfigurecollection. I am relatively new to my figurecollection so I am still where things are on this website.I will be sure to post their next time I have a question relating to Otamart.
But, anywho I am relatively new to proxies and Otamart so the Otamart thread and this thread will be a great resource for me to use. (Just started using proxies such as Fromjapan and Otamart, a month ago to make an itabag, so I am still learning how things work.

I've been using FromJapan since October, and this is the first proxy I've ever used so my opinion may be a little skewed due to lack of experience, but overall I've been pretty satisfied with their service. I've used them to buy things off Otamart, Amazon Japan, Yahoo Auctions Japan, and the TOHO Animation store, and so far the only problems I've had have been with Otamart sellers being kinda wishy-washy (which I've found is often the case with websites of that nature). When I've had to directly contact their customer service, they've always been prompt in answering and resolving the issue, and are always polite and courteous. I also like how their search function is laid out, as I can search through YAJ, Rakuten, Amazon, etc. simultaneously, and click through pages rather than go through an infinite scroll.

The only thing that makes me feel iffy is their packing method; while I have yet to order anything particularly fragile like a figure (besides an amiibo, which I wouldn't really consider all that fragile), the fact they shrink wrap your items to a cardboard sleeve and then put it in the shipping package and have that be the only security from damage does leave me a bit uneasy at the prospect of ordering a figure through them as I'd prefer there be more cushioning. But when it comes to things like straps, plushies, and similar things, I find it to be pretty great as it keeps them from shifting around too much during transport.
